Make Every Birthday Special: Join Our Birthday-in-a-Box Project!

In honor of our centennial, we are thrilled to launch a year-long Birthday-in-a-Box impact project! Our current focus is on improving access to basic needs to alleviate sources of stress and increase resiliency for women, children, and families who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and trauma. By connecting this focus with our celebration, we hope to spread a little extra cheer to those who need it most.

What is Birthday-in-a-Box? These festive boxes are packed with everything needed to create a joyful birthday celebration. Each box includes:

• 9×13 disposable pan with plastic dome lid
• box of cake mix
• can of frosting
• sprinkles
• can of Sprite (for a no-egg, no-oil cake option)
• birthday candles
• blank birthday card
• optional birthday extras: banner, streamers, birthday tablecloth, paper plates & napkins

Why Lemon-Lime Soda? Not everyone has eggs or oil on hand. By including lemon-lime soda, we ensure that everyone can enjoy a cake, no matter their kitchen supplies. Each box will also include simple baking instructions.

How You Can Help:

• Fill the Red Wagon: Bring cake mix, sprinkles, frosting, or cans of Sprite to our events. Every donation helps us prepare these special boxes.

• Assemble & Distribute: Join us in assembling and distributing the boxes to local organizations like Communities in Schools, Vanessa Behan, YWCA, and LCSNW, supporting families and individuals in need.
